Editorial Guidelines

Our Commitment to Journalistic Integrity

At Dr Furi, we believe that trust is the most valuable currency in journalism. Our mission is to provide readers with accurate, incisive, and rigorously verified reporting that cuts through the noise of modern digital media.

To maintain that trust, every writer, editor, and contributor at Dr Furi operates under a unified code of editorial standards. These guidelines govern how we report, write, edit, and publish our stories.

1. Accuracy & Fact-Checking

Accuracy is our primary responsibility. We prioritize getting the story right over getting it out first.

  • Primary Sourcing: Our editorial team is required to rely on primary sources whenever possible—including official documents, direct interviews, expert testimonies, and original reporting.
  • Verification: Statistical claims, historical references, and factual assertions must be independently verified by at least two credible sources before publication.
  • Headline Integrity: Headlines and summaries must accurately reflect the substance of the article. We strictly prohibit clickbait, misleading phrasing, or sensationalized framing.

2. Sourcing & Attribution

We believe in complete transparency regarding where our information originates.

  • On-the-Record Default: We push for sources to go on the record. Anonymous sourcing is reserved only for situations where a credible source faces genuine risk of retaliation or harm, and where the information is of critical public interest and cannot be obtained otherwise.
  • Clear Attribution: Whenever we cite reporting, data, or media from external publications, we provide clear inline attribution and direct links to the original source.
  • Zero Tolerance for Plagiarism: Plagiarism, fabrication, or the uncredited use of another creator’s intellectual property results in immediate termination of a contributor’s relationship with Dr Furi.

3. Independence & Objectivity

Our editorial room is strictly insulated from commercial and advertising influences.

  • Separation of Church and State: Advertisers, sponsors, and partners have zero preview rights, influence, or veto power over our editorial coverage.
  • No Pay-for-Play: We do not accept payment, gifts, or favors in exchange for editorial coverage, reviews, or interviews.
  • Clear Labeling: Any content that is sponsored, underwritten, or produced in collaboration with a commercial partner is explicitly and prominently labeled as “Sponsored Content” or “Paid Partnership.”

4. AI & Editorial Technology Ethics

We embrace modern tools to assist our workflow, but human intellect and editorial judgment remain the foundation of our work.

  • Human-Authored Content: Every article published on Dr Furi is conceptualized, researched, written, and edited by human journalists.
  • Prohibition of Unverified AI Generation: We do not publish raw, unverified AI-generated text. While automated tools may be used for preliminary data sorting, transcription, or headline testing, an editor must review and fact-check every word prior to publication.

5. Conflict of Interest & Disclosure

Our contributors must remain free of conflicts that could compromise their impartiality—or the public’s perception of it.

  • Financial Disclosures: Writers and editors are prohibited from reporting on companies, organizations, or individuals in which they hold a direct financial interest.
  • Personal Relationships: If a writer has a personal, professional, or familial connection to a subject in a story, that connection must be explicitly disclosed within the article.

6. Corrections & Updates Policy

Even with rigorous review, errors can happen. When they do, we correct them swiftly and transparently.

  • Factual Corrections: If a published article contains a factual error, we update the piece immediately and append a clear “Correction” note at the bottom of the article detailing what was changed and when.
  • Developing Stories: For ongoing or evolving news stories, we append an “Update” timestamp to indicate when new facts, statements, or context have been integrated into the original report.
  • Silent Edits Prohibited: We do not quietly alter substantive facts without informing our readership. Minor typographical or grammatical corrections that do not alter the meaning of a story are exempt.

7. Accountability & Feedback

Journalism is a two-way conversation. We hold ourselves accountable to our readers and welcome scrutiny, corrections, and editorial feedback.

  • Report an Error: If you spot a factual inaccuracy in any of our articles, please reach out to our desk at corrections@drfuri.com with the article link and supporting documentation.
  • Editorial Desk: For general feedback, pitches, or inquiries regarding our standards, contact our team at editorial@drfuri.com.
